About us

Our goal is to make all of your events a little more sparkly and a lot more magical!  We appear in costume and character at parties as well as corporate and community events.  We also offer party planning services so that you can just sit back and enjoy the fun without any of the work.  All of our performers have experience working with children as well as all required clearances.  The Vanity has been in business since November 2018. 

Fantastical Vanity is owned and operated by Kara Checote and Brandy Spielman.  Kara is a  former sea cadet and a trained dancer who has worked with the Radio City Rockettes.  Both experiences have given her the opportunity to learn first hand how to lead an organization through grace and perseverance.  Brandy is a middle school teacher with degrees in English, dance and theater, and education.  She has been working with children for nearly two decades.
